Spa and Hot tub PumpsPumps for filtration, hydro massage and air-jets

In theory, the more powerful the spa's pump is, the stronger the water flow and the more intense the massage. This is correct but not entirely: imagine a car is driving on the flat at 40 mph, when it gets to a hill you will need more power to keep at that speed, when you drive down a hill you would need less power.

In a hot tub, the water pipes are the "streets", the water is the "car" and the pump is the car's engine. It is easy to imagine that with "intelligent pipe-work" it (with a minimum of ups and downs) will make the water-flow easier and the pumps power used more efficiently.

And there is an additional component, which finally influences the massage effect: the water jets. Depending on their construction, type, combination and number of jets served by one pump, your massage sensation could be very different.

In other words: a powerful pump does not necessarily mean a perfect massage. In a MyDream-Spa hot tub the pumps, pipe-work and jets work together with perfect efficiency to give the best performance but using the least amount of energy.

About pump technology: it is important to know that in general there are two different types:

a) single speed pump

b) dual speed pump.

The dual-speed-pump is more sophisticated, it allows you (aside from the standard massage-mode) a low-power mode to enjoy a softer massage.

All MyDream-Spa hot tubs are equipped with at least 2 dual-speed pumps. This means that all MyDream-Spa hot tubs offer 2 different massage modes (Soft and Powerful).

Aside of that a dual speed pump allows a very effective, energy-saving and flexible way of filtering the spa water and is therefore used for this purpose in all MyDream-Spa hot tubs.

The air-jets are not served by a pump but by a separate blower.
